Reducing Acne Scars

Reducing acne scars can be done several ways, but first let’s look at what acne is.  Acne is a bacteria skin infection that most times leaves a scar on the body of it's victim ,but luckily there are recent methods of reducing these acne scars. And as we all know, there are various forms through which acne can affect an individual.

Some are just moderate while others are severe, and these forms are what can lead to scarring. A skin infection can lead to development of an inflamed skin and when this inflamed skin bursts it can lead to bleeding. Sometimes if the infection gets deep it can turn into tissue damage. The result of all this is usually acne scars.

How Acne Scars Develop

In a situation where acne occurs, the infection that the acne brings usually comes from beneath the skin’s surface and affects collagen fibers, this will eventually damage the skin cells and tissues.

When the body now tries to heal itself, it will patch up the broken and damaged tissues, these tissues will be replaced by a scar which is a connective tissue. This is why it is usually very easy to tell the difference between a scar and the skin.

The best way that anyone can use to prevent acne from appearing is if the acne is treated at its initial stage.  When the pimples just start forming is the best time to treat it.

Often, people make that mistake of believing that there is some kind of pus under the skin and then they wait for the pimples to bust so that they can treat it.

The above conception about acne is very wrong. It is true that the inflamed skin is contained with pus and sometimes even cysts, however, it is very incorrect to decide to wait for the pimples to burst before treating. You are going to get acne scars if the pimple is allowed to burst out.

If at present you have these acne scars and you want to reduce them , you will have to see a dermatologist for proper medication. People with this acne condition usually have a very sensitive skin, if they are trying to self medicate it or visiting an inexperienced beautician then it might just get worse.

Methods of Acne Reduction

If you have the time to wait then you can wait for your acne scars to heal itself, but if you can have that long wait then you can use the methods below or discuss it with your doctor. The recommendations below for reducing acne scars will depend on the size and type of scar.
