Cosmelan
The Cosmelan Process Explained
Cosmelan basically means the hyper-pigmentation
of the skin. This focuses mainly on the dark area of the
human body and helps to tone the body
complexion.
This is greatly achieved by visiting a
dermatologist who will guide you through the entire
process. What cosmelan does to the skin is to exfoliate
the skin (the dark parts of the body) and reduces the
effectiveness of melanin.
Melanin as we know is what determines the colour
of the skin and cosmelan centers its actions on that area
of the body tissues.
Cosmelan Acts On Melanin
There are basis contents of a cosmelan treatment
kit which are vital for producing the desired result.
These items are as listed below for in-depth
analysis:
1. The vitamin K cosmelan cream
2. The cosmelan mask
3. The decreasing solution
4. The cosmelan cream
Using the decreasing solution:
This solution is usually applied by a
dermatologist who first needs to clean up the face before
an application of the cosmelan mask.
This solution/agent is made up of acetone and
water. The face needs to be properly cleaned with
decreasing solution to ensure that the skin/face is free
from any form of oil as this will guarantee a full
penetration of the cosmelan mask.
Applying the cosmelan mask:
This is also applied by the dermatologist to the
skin. The reason for the application is to ensure an
almost complete elimination of
hyper-pigmentation.
The effect of cosmelan is time based and quickly
effective. Once the cosmelan mask is applied on the face
of the patient, he/she is quickly asked to go home
immediately.
The customer is carefully instructed on what to
do as when due and what time to wash off the cosmelan
mask. The usual time frame for which the mask should be
worn is between 5 – 7 hours.
How to remove the cosmelan mask:
The removal of the cosmelan mask is done by
washing off the mask with water and some amount of face
cleanser.
The patient is expected to apply Hydra Vital
Factor cream to the skin immediately after removing the
mask. Hydra Vital Factor cream helps to heal the faces
and at the same time moisturizes it.
In other to avoid damage to the skin, the
patient is advised to apply sunscreen to the treated part
of the skin to reduce the effect of direct sun rays
(sunburn).
The dermatologist also prescribes a daily
application of cosmelan 2 cream as well as Hydra Vital
Factor K Cream. This ensures that the treatment and
effect remains gradual as well as permanent.
For those who experience some kind of
irritation, the dermatologist needs to be informed
immediately. The fully result of this whole process of
cosmelan is usually experienced within 4-6
weeks.
